We are dealing with the book of Joshua. The people of Israel came out of exile and wandered in the wilderness for forty years because of their disobedience. Now they are facing the Promised Land.Each input includes a main idea that comes from the biblical story. That would be the central point that your input should be about. I have also made a reference to the Wild West. To deepen this you can read the chapter "a little history". Furthermore, there are questions and comments that can help you in your preparation

Time for President

The president was far away from the Wild West. Occasionally a messenger would drop by again and announce tax increases, for example, or deliver other messages. But to a large extent, people were on their own.

Our "president" - God - sometimes seems far away, too. But every now and then we hear a message from him, and we have a book - a covenant constitution, so to speak - in which we learn a great deal about him.

We take the time to listen to what he has to say to us today. In doing so, we deepen what we have heard from the previous day.
