Step transitions

Submitted by Ramba on

In many churches and congregations, children have to move to other age groups. It can happen that this becomes a problem. Why this is so and what can be done about it, this article wants to give information about.

Introduction

In our communities and churches we accompany people on a spiritual journey. They are on different trains (groups) and from time to time they have to change to a next group.
Some children have no problem with this and even look forward to the change. They find the new program or group more appealing. Some may have felt out of place in the existing group for some time or did not get along with the group leader. In these cases, a step change is an opportunity.

Unfortunately, it happens again and again that children miss the connection during these step transitions and do not find their way into the new group.

What could be the reasons for this? In the brochure "Step Transitions", the BESJ gets to the bottom of this question.
