If I didn't have love
If I stood in front of my Youngstars with the best educational techniques,
and provide stimulating and motivational activities,
but have not love,
I am just spoiling time.
If I spend hours preparing the semesterprogramm
with the clearest instructional objectives and greatest adventures,
but have not love,
I am just an over-organized ideologue.
If I utilize the most eye-catching visual aids
and the latest technology,
but have not love,
I am just a high-tech visionary.
A loving YS-leader is kind and patient with every child/teen,
regards each Youngstar as an important individual,
and treats their personal problems with confidence.
Loving the Youngstars involves being patient to let God work in their lives,
being sensitive to their feelings,
and aware of their hurts and concerns.
A YS-leaders love is not condescending,
does not play favorites,
does not gossip,
does not publicly humiliate,
is not easily agitated or discouraged,
and does not blow-up or give-up on misbehaving Youngstars.
A loving YS-leader does not envy the fact that another YS-leader appears to have an entire group of perfectly-behaved, straight-A Youngstars. Instead, (s)he celebrates their success.
A loving YS-leader hopes that every child/teen will achieve their potential,
and endures all distrubances in the process.
The latest hypes * planking, selfies, cold-waterchallenges, etc, etc * will soon be out-of-date.
Contemporary teaching methods will become outmoded.
All the tears and concerns will be overcome,
but a loving YS-leader can affect a Youngstars' life forever.
Now abideth preparation, instruction, and love,
but the greatest of these is a Youngstarsleaders love
that seeks the highest good of the children/teens.
