Dies Petroleumlampe wird auch Sturmlaterne oder Laterne genannt.
Filling the petroleum lamps
Open the lid.

Pour petroleum up to the upper edge. The best way to do this is to use odorless petroleum jelly. It is available in most stores.

Close the lid and wait about 1 to 2 minutes before lighting. During this time, the wick will soak up petrol.
Lighting the lantern
Lift the glass with the lever on the right side.

Turn out the wick about 1-2 mm with the burning key.

Light and lower the glass.
||
Regulate the flame size. It should not be sooty, otherwise the glass will be dirty.

After 1-2 minutes, readjust. And enjoy the light of the petrollamp. :)

Extinguish
To extinguish the lantern you can lift the disc and blow out the flame or turn the wick down until the flame goes out. If you do the latter, make sure the wick doesn't slip out the bottom!
Take out the glass
To wash or change the glass of the petrol lamp, you can take it out. To do this, lift the top of the vent upwards.

And tilt the whole glass backwards.

To get the glass back in, do the whole thing in reverse order.
