Ein lustiges Kinderlied zur Unterhaltung.

Text

The monkeys race through the forest,
One knocks the other down,
The whole monkey gang roars:
Where’s the coconut?
Where’s the coconut?
Who stole the coconut?

Mom Monkey sits by the river
And is fishing for the coconut,
The whole monkey gang is shouting:
Where’s the coconut?
Where’s the coconut?
Who stole the coconut?

Uncle Monkey—what a horror—
Uproots whole jungle trees,
The whole monkey gang is screaming:
Where’s the coconut?
Where’s the coconut?
Who stole the coconut?

The monkey milkman—what a slob—
He’s lying in wait for the coconut milk,
The whole monkey gang is shouting:
Where’s the coconut?
Where’s the coconut?
Who stole the coconut?

The elephant in the jungle says:
It’s not here in the thicket,
The whole gang of monkeys shouts:
Where’s the coconut?
Where’s the coconut?
Who stole the coconut?

Even while kissing, the monkey girl thinks
She can’t stop thinking about the coconut,
The whole monkey gang roars:
Where’s the coconut?
Where’s the coconut?
Who stole the coconut?

The baby monkey, full of delight,
Holds the coconut in its hand,
The whole monkey gang shouts:
"Here’s the coconut!
Here’s the coconut!
It stole the coconut."

And the moral of the story is,
Don’t steal coconuts,
or else the whole gang will yell:
"Where's the coconut?"
Where’s the coconut?
Who stole the coconut?

Optional

For even more monkey fun, you can always imitate the action of the animal mentioned at the beginning of the verse.
