Aren't you always on the lookout for new ideas to make the Bible dear to children? Sometimes ideas are there, but there isn't time to do them. Riddles offer a way to introduce children to the Bible through play. At the same time, existing knowledge is refreshed and new things are learned. Depending on their type and content, riddles can be used as an introduction to enliven a Bible study, or for repetition.
This article contains 15 riddles on stories from the Old Testament. They are suitable as a supplement to Bible studies in school lessons, children's services, Sunday school, youth group lessons and camps. The basis for all puzzles is the revised Luther Bible 1984.
