David - A Spiritual Concept for a Semester

A spiritual outline for a semester featuring 7 (8) devotionals on the life of David.

Through the story of David, the children come to realize that God also has a plan for them and their lives and will not forsake them. They take courage and entrust themselves to God.

A Little Guy Makes It Big

David is anointed king and comes to Saul’s court

David, the youngest, is chosen by God and anointed king by Samuel (God looks at the heart)

David comes to the court to play the harp and soothe Saul when the evil spirit comes upon him

David and Goliath; David and Jonathan’s friendship begins

David is sent by his father to join his brothers; Goliath mocks God’s people; David wants to fight Goliath, tries on Saul’s armor, but goes out with his sling, trusting in God, and kills Goliath

David and Jonathan form a bond of friendship; Jonathan gives David his armor
