Perfect for scraps
- Wrap a piece about 15 cm long around the keyring
- A second piece, about 60 cm long, is tied in a standard knot at the top around the center strand
- Make a cobra knot
- The cobra knot is always tied on the same side to create the twist
- Continue tying until 2–3 twists have formed.
- The ends are cut off and fused together

- Place the left cord over the center (2 cords)
- Pass the right cord over and behind the middle cords
- Pull the left loop back from below
- Tighten
