How to make a bracelet out of paper.

It is also a suitable craft idea for an afternoon of recycling, for example.

Material

  • 16 x paper strips (15.5cm x 6.3cm)
  • One cardboard (15.5cm x 6.3cm) as a template
  • Scissors / Japanese knife
  • Carpet pad
  • optional: glue and Velcro

takes approx. 30 min.

Procedure

  1. Cut a template measuring 15.5cm x 6.3cm.
  2. Cut 16 strips of paper from magazines, wrapping paper, old books or other paper.
  3. Fold the strip of paper in half lengthwise.
  4. Open it again, fold the outer edges to the resulting fold in the middle and close it again.
  5. Fold the paper in the middle so that the strip is only half as long.
  6. Open the last fold again, fold the top and bottom edges to the resulting fold and close it again.
  7. Repeat steps 3-6 for all paper strips.
  8. Tuck the paper strips into each other as shown in the photos.

Done!

Inspiration

This bracelet can also be made from gold or silver wrapping paper and worn as gold jewelry during theatrical performances.

The end can also be fastened with Velcro.
