Bulldog is similar to Schwarzermann or Fährmann. This game is all about action!
Game Information
- Age: 6+
- Number of players: 15+
- GameLeader: 1–2
- Duration: 15–60min
- Playing area: approximately the size of a small soccer field
How to Play
* Choose 2–3 taggers (preferably the tallest players).
* Mark off the playing field in the shape of a soccer field, just smaller.
* The taggers line up on one side of the field, and the rest line up across from them.
* Now everyone switches sides of the playing field. The catchers try to catch someone by lifting them up so they don’t touch the ground and shouting, “Bulldog, one, two, three!”
* If they succeed, the person caught becomes a catcher too.
* Once everyone has reached the other side (or not), the game continues by switching sides repeatedly until everyone has been caught or a small group remains uncaptured. Those players can then become catchers right away.
Notes
- Wear clothes that can get dirty!
- Don’t play before devotions, small group meetings, or similar activities. (The kids get really hyper afterward!)
- Make sure things don’t get out of hand—otherwise, it could get out of control!
