NCM 2014 Spain

Last week we were in Spain with Agui and we had a great experience. about 35 of us from 10-12 European countries participated in the International Meeting (NCM) in Sant Celoni in a house of prayer in a church in the city of Sant Celoni. In addition to the cultural and linguistic diversity, there was a common language and communication with constant translation (English and German). It was a pleasant atmosphere, where people tried to be respectful of different cultures and to assume the good of each other.

In the mornings there were presentations by the national teenagers of each country. Then a small community part, holistic devotion, prayer, praise. Then most of the days were spent in discussions, lectures, presentations, professional training. Picture.

Swiss Juropa will not cease to exist, but it will step back a row and take on a supporting role. We said goodbye to some of the staff, Kurt e.g. got a teaching job, but was elected as managing director.

A new organisation (Youngstars International) has been founded and will be led by Susanne Beier, Rudi Hächler and Daniel Horst. In this way, instead of a one-centred approach, the growing Spanish, Austrian and Romanian work will continue and represent the international level. The founding members are representatives of each country with 1 or 2 voting rights. A supervisory board has been elected, headed by Daniel Jägers, a well-known figure in Mo.

We received professional help with the website, YS-wiki, partner groups and training materials. The Hungarian (sub)website is just waiting for someone to get their hands on it and upload the first translated materials. The YS-wiki already has nearly 1000 best practice articles, ideas and methods uploaded in 5 categories: non-profit organisation; sports games; outdoor stuff; evangelisation; creativity. You can also draw from, translate and distribute them (smartphone version included).

To sum up, YS-int therefore wants to provide professional support in the following areas: training, coaching, networking and promotion. They were happy to have Mo represented. There are already national projects further east of us: Bulgaria, Lithuania, Romania, Ukraine - more recently Moldova etc. We will be accompanied by Rudi (Austria) if we request it, but there are already Hungarian links and groups in Romania.

Next year's NCM is expected to be in Lithuania, but there has been a positive response to the possibility of organising an international confit/training in Dömös.
