The forest is full of surprises

We search and find surprising things in the forest

Search assignments 1, 2, 3, 4

Search assignment 1

Two people (but each on their own) search for surprising things. "Surprising" here can mean: new, unusual, never seen before, seen many times but never looked at closely, etc. The things are brought back, placed on a sheet, and presented to everyone.

Search Assignment 2

Two go on their way with a "search list. The things found are brought back and placed on a sheet. The people who searched for the things can call out an item from the list and the others try to figure out which item on the sheet matches it.

Search Task 3

Two each search for 5 "insane" things or places in the forest. "Insane" here is to be understood in the sense of fantastic, fabulous, super, etc. Of course, each group member will interpret this search assignment in a very personal way - and that's fine. These two people take nothing with them, but lead the whole group to these places afterwards.

It is also possible to postpone going to these places until the evening or night.

For older people, the search request can be modified a bit. E.g., "Search for 'magical' places." There are places in every forest that are just special. Somehow one is touched in a very peculiar way in these places, without being able to explain why this is so. The other group members are then led to these places.

Search Assignment 4

The other group members search for things in the forest for certain characteristics. Each person is given a small card with a property written on it. At the bottom of the card, an opposite property is written down very small, but this is only to orient about the fact that someone is busy with the opposite of my search assignment.

  • Photographer and camera
  • Forest Market
  • Earth Window
  • Sensory Experiences
  • "Seeing" with your hands
  • Smell cabinet
  • Sounds and noises in the forest
  • Foreign objects in the forest
