Game race with paper boats

Materials:

• Rubber glove
• Markers
• Printed ships
• Ships (origami)
• Cones
• Eye patches
• Various random objects
• One cardboard box or cloth bag
• Sleek-line

1. 1. POST #1- You will need the rubber gloves and markers for this one. At this post the children should make their prayer glove. They can decorate it however they wish and write different things to pray for on each finger of the glove. For example: thumb- for my family, index finger- for my best friend, etc.

1. 2. POST #2 - For this you will need the cardboard box or cloth bag you prepared and various random items and a blindfold. You place any of these items you have prepared in the bag or box, the children's eyes are blindfolded and they have to pop inside and just by touching it they can tell what the item is. In order to successfully pass the post they must guess 4 out of 5 objects.

1. 3. POST #3- In this post the children have to do the trust exercise which is to relax back and let the other person hold you.

1. 4. POST #4- For this post you will need the cones and the blindfolds. At this post you need to form a course that the children have to walk through with their eyes closed while someone else navigates them. You could use include some trees, bushes, benches etc in the terrain.

1. 5. POST #5- For this one you will need a zip line. The goal is to get the kids through it, and you can make it so that you need two of the kids to walk on it.

At each post the kids will get a printed ship. With these ships they will have the opportunity to buy a paper boat (origami). You can determine how many small ships the children will be able to get a paper boat for. Finally, when each child has a paper boat with them have a race on the water. In advance you need to find a place where this can happen. The winner of the game is the one whose paper boat has passed the final goal first.
