Working with parents

Throughout the year, parents, children and youth leaders have many appointments. These are often linked to school vacations and other community events. It is therefore worth keeping an overview with a simple presentation.

5against5 is known as a TV show (family quiz) and is suitable as a quiz game in the afternoon or as an evening show on the occasion of an anniversary or parents' evening. The preparation for this is time-consuming, especially if you create the questions yourself.

For a long time, the church of F. has regularly held interesting meetings for the family members of the youth and teenagers. Everyone is invited - "family" is not seen so much genetically as "spiritually". Everyone is invited to be part of the "family of God". Here even singles, grandmas, neighbor kids, single mothers .... feel comfortable. The meetings are organized by families or small teams from the community. The focus is not on perfect organisation, not on a stylish programme, but on fellowship, games, fun, conversations, spontaneity, mutual service, encouragement and sharing.

In the digital age, a web presence for one's group is almost indispensable. Many churches already have a website. If there is the possibility to present there all the important information of your Jungschar, this offers itself, because this is free of charge for you. However, it is not always possible to present your youth group there to the necessary extent

The family is a family

To get to know the children's parents better, they can be invited to a meal. The meal is prepared with the children and the parents can only come at the arranged time, sit down and enjoy the cooked meal.
