Zorro - Weekly Game

Fancy a weekly game among the kids at camp?

Why is there suddenly a chair wrapped in toilet paper in the dining hall? Zorro and his sidekick have been up to their shenanigans all week without getting caught. Who saw him? Is there any suspicion?

The Zorro week game has already proven itself many times in our Jungschi and the kids are always very happy to participate. At the beginning of the camp, each child receives a lottery ticket. Among many citizens there is also a Zorro (in large groups possibly two Zorros). This one gets various tasks, which he has to do unnoticed with the help of his helper sometime during this camp week.

Citizens are naturally vigilant and can report their suspicions to the game master or to the suspicion list. However, to avoid simply guessing, the suspicion must be substantiated and a false suspicion may result in a small penalty.

Do the citizens manage to blow the whistle on Zorro and/or his sidekick, or does Zorro manage to perform all his duties unnoticed?

Fire department devotion

As we are planning a trip to the local fire department with the Jungschar, I wanted to hold a devotion in the spirit of the unit program. But since I didn't find very much material for this, I worked something out myself. The goal was to form a tangible parallel between the world of experience of the fire department and the Gospel, but at the same time to be able to pass on a practical application for everyday life especially also for the many church children in our Jungschar.

Simple musical instrument: Diddly Bow

A diddly bow was originally an activity for farm kids. It was usually some stick, broomstick or the like, to which a tin can was attached and then a wire was stretched. By plucking it, you could play notes and by placing a bottle neck on the string, you could adjust the pitch.

Wanted - The lost sheep

Gameplay: The Jungschärler get the order (eg Wanted poster as a start) to look for the lost sheep. They then go from post to post until they find the sheep. At each post there is a leader in disguise. The children are each given a clue as to where the next post is and how to deal with that person to get information. If the specified criteria are not met, the leader does not give information!

Generally, the more leaders, the better. The listed variant can be expanded depending on the time budget and present leaders.

At the end, a big party can be celebrated!:)
